International Coastal Clean Up Day 2019

Since 1986 on the third Saturday of September, the “International Coastal Clean Up Day” has been celebrated, an activity promoted by the NGO Ocean Conservancy worldwide.

On this date hundreds of thousands of volunteers around the world gather to clean beaches in order to free the seas and oceans from trash. In our region, the problem of dirt is aggravated with fishing drawers and this occurs especially in the entire Patagonian coast.

Starting this year, Grupo Veraz decided to join the ICCUD and participated on September 21st, of this activity on the beaches of “El Pedral”, located 100 km from Puerto Madryn (Chubut) just in front of Peninsula Valdés, a protected site for the native fauna habitat.

We want to highlight and thank the voluntary and supportive participation of: Fernando Damboriana, Paola Aguer, María Fernanda Ovejero and Jonathan Lezcano of our establishment Bonasur (Rawson), who dedicated their day to this activity.

We hope for the next years to continue adding projects and wills in this cause that involves corporate social responsibility and our individual responsibilities as inhabitants of the planet.
