Hake

The hake (Merluccius hubbsi) is the main species of the Argentine sea, and the most captured and sold. It may be found from near Cabo Frio in Brazil, up to southern Argentina (at depths between 50 and 500m).

It is a spice lean, white flesh, delicate texture and slightly sweet taste. It is caught using bottom trawls.

This product is packed and commercialized with CENTAURO S.A. and PESQUERA VERZ brands. The main export destinations are Brazil, U.S.A. and Europe, but also we commercialize it in the domestic market.
